Wholeness: The Journey to Complete Restoration in Christ

The Process of Spiritual Restoration

Since the fall, humanity has lived in a state of brokenness, far from God's original design. God's redemptive purpose is to restore each person to wholeness and renew their relationship with Him. This restoration is not instantaneous but a progressive journey of transformation. Every life challenge presents an opportunity to experience deeper restoration by dying to selfish patterns and embracing Christ's life. While rebellion leads to stagnation, pursuing wholeness brings personal growth and greater effectiveness in ministering to others.

The process requires intentional focus on our inner life, recognizing that what we allow into our hearts shapes our thoughts, attitudes, and actions (Prov 4:23; Mt 12:35; Gal 6:7,8; Phil 4:8). We must diligently

confront the old nature while nurturing our new life in Christ, particularly in the realm of thought where spiritual battles are often won or lost (Rom 12:2; 2 Cor 10:5; Eph 4:22-24). This demands more than desire – it requires decisive action to embrace the freedom Christ secured through His sacrifice (Jn 8:36; Rom 6:11; 1 Pet 2:24). As we die to self and live in Christ, we participate in His nature and experience the abundant life He promised (Jn 10:10; 1 Pet 1:4).

Living in the Reality of Position and Practice

The foundation of wholeness is our relationship with God, who promises to give us a new heart and spirit (Ezek 36:26). As we walk in the Spirit's power, we break free from sin's bondage and avoid returning to former patterns, having escaped the enemy's trap to fulfill God's will (Isa 58:6; Gal 5:16; 2 Tim 2:26). Though our physical bodies may weaken, our spirit – the true self – is being renewed daily, progressively maturing in Christ as we bear the Spirit's fruit (2 Cor 4:16; Gal 5:22-23).

God's desire is to sanctify us completely – spirit, soul, and body – bringing holistic healing to our entire being (1 Thes 5:23; 3 Jn 1:2). This wholeness emerges as we confront truth and actively pursue transformation through His grace. While heaven can be entered with

physical limitations or incomplete soul healing, it cannot be entered without a heart cleansed by Christ's blood. Therefore, we must prioritize addressing anything that hinders us from living according to God's standards.
