Universe

<<entirety of creation>>

The universe was formed at God’s command for "nothing is too hard for Him (Gen 1:1; Jer 32:27; Jn 1:3; Heb 11:3; Rev 4:11). It had a beginning as opposed to God who has always existed (Jn 17:5; Eph 1:4; Col 1:17). David wrote, "The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His Hands"   yet the more science explores space and the complexities of the created world, especially in our bodies it show the greatness of God, revealing the smallness and incapability of humanity in comparison (Ps 8:3,4, 19:1). The Bible declares, "since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities – His eternal power and divine nature – have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so men are without excuse" (Rom 1:20). As "all things were created by Him and for Him" we should seek to live for His glory which begins when we turn to Him in repentance and will continue throughout eternity when we are in His presence (1 Cor 10:31; Eph 1:12; Col 1:16).

The humanistic theory of evolution whereby nature took its course on the various elements that came about by the 'Big Bang' is not Biblical. It is an attempt by man to prove God doesn't exist and thus eliminate Him from having had any role in the creation of the universe. Because of the sin nature under the influence of Satan, humanity hates God and does not want to be subject to God's law, or held accountable for our actions. The Bible further adds, "For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools..." (Rom 1:21,22).

In the heavenly realm a spiritual battle rages against the evil cosmic powers that are causing chaos because, although God is in ultimate control, not all are in submission to His rule. We are to use the divine resources made available through Christ to bring about the increase of His Kingdom, so more and more people are liberated from the powers of darkness and come into His light and under His control (Mk 16:15; 2 Cor 10:5; Eph 6:12; Col 1:13; Heb 2:8; 1 Pet 2:9; 1 Jn 3:8).
