Evolution

<<natural progression>>

The assumption that following the big bang theory when the universe came into being, evolution is the process by which living creatures developed gradually, from simple forms into different and more complex forms, including human beings. However, it is absurd to think our complex universe originated and developed according to the evolutionary process of random chance. It is a recognised fact that left to themselves things degenerate toward a state of increasing disorder rather than refinement and improvement, and especially so after a gigantic explosion.

The theory of evolution was devised by atheists in the mistaken belief they will not have to acknowledge there is a God, to whom they are accountable, yet the Bible says, everyone will stand before Him and give account (Rom 14:10-12; Heb 4:13; 1 Pet 4:5). “They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshipped and served created things rather than the Creator” (Rom 1:25). Evolution doesn’t recognise there is a spiritual component to the universe. Mistakenly, it considers humanity is therefore free to set their own rules, choosing their own beliefs and values. It becomes a case of “everyone doing what is right in their own eyes” (Jdg 17:6).

This erroneous concept of evolution is attributed to Charles Darwin.  His theory has been proved wrong in numerous areas. He believed cells were simple blobs, yet modern science has discovered they are highly complex structures that never spontaneously form from non-living chemicals.

Where we came from is not as important as where we are going!

Darwin believed in natural selection – stronger plants or animals succeeding where the weaker ones die – however, it never produces new species. As the weaker varieties within a species are weeded out, genes may be shuffled but no new genes are ever generated. Adaptations and mutations do not change one species into another. Adaptations are always positive, enabling a species, to survive better in its environment. Mutations are mostly harmful or deadly deformities often caused by toxins or chemicals. Fossils show a life form that is complex and fully developed; never has one been discovered that is intermediate or transitional.

The concept of evolution is foreign to the Bible’s account of “God created…” (Gen 1:1,27). Creation implies that life originated according to His power, order and purpose. There are minor variations within each species of plants and animals and different races of humans as they adapt to different surroundings and conditions besides through cross breeding and modern day selective breeding of desirable characteristics. The Bible states God created and commanded the various creations to multiply “after their kind” – not to change from one kind into a different form.

The theory of evolution considers the earth to be millions of years old. Carbon dating has been proved to be vastly inaccurate on some identifiable objects. Creationists believe the world to be only some 7,000 years old, however it is pointless disagreeing over incidentals (Tit 2:7,8, 3:9). Instead, address the real issue – we are all answerable to God and our relationship with Him will determine our eternal destiny.

Time and chance can’t explain the complexity of life. For something to be ‘scientific’, it has to be proven, with knowledge gained through experiment, observation and deduction. Evolution has never been reproduced through experiments, never observed and has no basis through deduction. Evolution’s so-called ‘evidence’ is based on assumptions, guesses, conjecture and fraud. How is it that all the species of monkeys we allegedly came from didn’t evolve into humans but remained monkeys? The faculty of language as possessed by man remains a clear and unchallengeable mark of distinction between us and the animals evolutionists say we developed from.

The Bible’s message is to “Turn away from opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge…” (1 Tim 6:20,21). God did not create by the evolutionary process, as evolution and creation are two mutually exclusive worldviews.
