Recover

<<get better>>

Having a thankful God-focused mindset (even in the midst of calamity) is a great asset with which to overcome the numerous heart breaking events in life, being confident God will never leave us and that all things are working for our good (Job 1:21; Ps 34:1,18; Isa 43:2; Rom 8:28; Heb 13:5). "The Lord heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds" (Ps 147:3). Jesus said, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me…to proclaim recovery of sight for the blind…” (Lk 4:18).

“These signs will follow those who believe…they will place their hands on the sick and they will get well” (Mk 16:17,18).

After major stress from whatever source, the body and mind needs a time of recuperation to regain what has been drained and to enable us to function more productively. Following in Christ’s footsteps, many Christian ministries are focused on helping the weak and downtrodden to recover from their predicaments, be they physical or caused by addictions. Time and having a changed thoughts can bring about transformation (Rom 12:1,2).
