Wish
<<desire>>
Am I applying myself to see healthy dreams become reality?
motivation and commitment to become reality. If our wish is because of dissatisfaction with what God has designed for us, be it our nationality, gender or family, it is wrong, as is desiring what is not ours to have – such as another person’s spouse.
Rather than the expression, ‘I wish you luck’, inferring random chance, replace it with ‘may God bless you’ or ‘I wish you well’ (Ex 4:18). A Christian’s belief is in the providential, orderly direction of God who acts specifically with good reason.
God expressed His wish that a group of people were either hot or cold in their relationship to Him, and not sickly lukewarm (Rev 3:15). What is the temperature of my commitment to Him as measured by my obedience?
