Simeon

Little is recorded about this righteous, old man who heard from God and did as instructed (Lk 2:25-35). He had patiently trusted and hoped in God and, being directed by the Holy Spirit, was in the right place at the right time to speak a prophetic blessing over the infant Jesus. These words must have been a comforting support to Joseph and Mary in the years that followed. We also should be in tune with God and declare what He reveals.
