Rationalism

<<reliance on reason>>

This is the belief in the ability of the human mind and logic to solve world problems, independent of God. It considers reason as the supreme authority in matters of opinion, belief and conduct. Such a philosophy in life considers man is supreme, thus not needing God. While it is true that God has endued mankind with tremendous ability to think and reason, these powers should not operate independently of God for it not by our power and schemes, rather by the Spirit of God, that anything of real lasting worth is achieved (Zech 4:6). For a Christian, Christ should be the central pivot from which all else in our life originates, motivating and directing our ministry for the Kingdom of God.
