Holy Grail
The Holy Grail is a legendary vessel that has captured human imagination for centuries, appearing in medieval literature and modern
popular culture.
The Origins and Nature of the Legend
The Holy Grail is not mentioned in the Bible as it is a mythical legend that has been popularized by various literary works, most notably in recent times by the fictitious book The Da Vinci Code. The legend describes this vessel as either the cup Jesus used at the Last Supper or the cup that caught His blood as He hung on the cross.
Throughout history, the Grail has been believed to be the source of divine favour and all things good. Its symbolism has evolved from early Christian traditions.
