Frankincense (Boswellia)
Frankincense, the aromatic resin from the Boswellia tree, was either burnt as incense or used in perfume. Along with gold and myrrh (resin
from another type of tree), it was one of the three precious gifts presented to the infant Jesus, symbolizing divinity and purity (Mt
2:11).
Today, frankincense is widely used in aromatherapy, skincare products, and natural medicine.
