Calvary

The place where Christ was crucified on the cross, outside Jerusalem.  Also termed Golgotha, the place of the skull, it may be so named because it resembled the rough shape of a human skull (Mt 27:33). Do not lose sight of the significance of what was accomplished at Calvary – Jesus gave His life for ours that we might come into relationship with God and be with Him forever, free from the penalty of our sin.
