Bride of Christ

<<future role of believers>>

A term used to describe the church, comprising all born-again believers (and those in the OT who walked in faith with God) who will be united with Christ, the bridegroom for all eternity (2 Cor 11:2; Rev 19:7). “Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to

make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the Word, and to present her to Himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless” (Eph 5:25-27). Christ has set in place the way, offering us the opportunity and privilege to be part of His eternal bride. It is our responsibility to “Make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him” (2 Pet 3:14). We do this by walking in repentance allowing His blood to cleanse from all sin and obediently following the Lord’s direction with the final outcome that “The bride has made herself ready” (Rev 19:7).
