Allah
Allah is the central deity in Islam. His revered name is the Islamic equivalent to the Christians use of the word “God”. However, this
supreme being worshipped by Muslims is not the God of Christians.
The central tenet of the Islamic declaration of faith is "there is no god but Allah" and Muhammad is the Messenger of God".
Muslims demonstrate their commitment to Allah through the Five Pillars of Islam: the declaration of faith, performing prayers five times daily, engaging in charitable giving, fasting during Ramadan, and undertaking a pilgrimage to Mecca. Each practice is conducted as an expression of worship and adherence to the will of Allah.
